🇫🇷 J-3 avant le début de la compétition à Bordeaux, on fait un focus sur quelques jeunes athlètes à suivre.

Parmi eux, il y a évidemment Amir Khaled-Jousselin ! Il y a quelques jours, le Nancéen a survolé le championnat d’Europe U19 et fait le doublé individuels/équipe. Avec un tel leader, la France 🇫🇷 peut rêver d’une nouvelle victoire en U17, et Amir pourrait réaliser un triplé inédit.

L’Angleterre 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 ne l’entend pas de cette oreille, et comptera sur deux jeunes qui avaient gagné leur match en finale en U15 l’année dernière : Harriet Broadbridge, récente lauréate de l’open de France junior U17 et Ali Khalil, finaliste du British Junior Open U15 en janvier.

Mention à deux jeunes si précoces qu’ils ont récemment fait leurs débuts en sélection en senior : Natalia Mierzejewska (16 ans) a aidé la Pologne 🇵🇱 à rentrer dans le top 8 au championnat d’Europe (Division 1), alors que Gustavo Cruz (15 ans) a été titré en Division 3 avec le Portugal 🇵🇹.

🇬🇧 3 days away before the start of the tournament, let’s focus on some youngsters to keep an eye in Bordeaux.

It’s hard not to mention Amir Khaled-Jousselin. A few days ago, the Nancy-born dominated the U19 European Championship, winning both individual and team titles. With such a leader, France 🇫🇷 can hope to keep the momentjum in U17, and Amir could become the first player to achieve such a treble.

England certainly don’t see things that way, and will count on two players who’d won their match in the U15 final last year: Harriet Broadbridge, recent winner of the French Junior Open and Ali Khalil, runner-up at U15 British Junior Open in January.

Kudoz to two youngsters who recently made their debut for their country in senior: 16-year old Natalia Mierzejewska helped Poland 🇵🇱 reach the top 8 at the European Team Championship Div 1, while 15-year old Gustavo Cruz won the Division 3 title with Portugal 🇵🇹.

🇫🇷 À 4 jours du début de la compétition, on vous propose un recap express de son histoire.

Ça a commencé en 1991 avec une seule catégorie (U16), et quelques nations (Finlande 🇫🇮, Allemagne 🇩🇪, France 🇫🇷) ont profité de l’absence initiale de l’Angleterre 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 pour être sacré. Cette dernière a rapidement installé sa domination, remportant notamment 38 médailles d’or sur 44 depuis la division en 2 catégories (U15, U17) en 2001. L’Allemagne avait créé la sensation avec un doublé en 2006, mais l’Angleterre en a ensuite réalisé 12 d’affilée...

La Belgique 🇧🇪 et la famille Moxham (Maddox et Savannah) met fin à cette série en s’imposant en U15 en 2022, et c’est au tour de la France de créer la surprise en U17 l’année suivante (en photo). La France, justement, s’est imposée comme le principal challenger de l’Angleterre récemment. 🇬🇧 We are 4 days away before the start of the championships and decided it was the right time to give a quick recap of their history.

It started in 1991 with a single category (U16) and a few countries (Finland, Germany, France) took advantage of England not taking part to be crowned. The latter quickly established its dominance, notably winning 38 gold medals out of 44 since it was split into 2 categories (U15 & U17) in 2001. Germany caused a massive upset winning both titles in 2006, but England went on to achieve 12 doubles in a row!

Belgium and the Moxham siblings, Maddox and Savannah, ended this run winning in U15 in 2022, and it was France's turn to cause an upset in U17 the year after (picture). 🇫🇷 J-8 avant le début de la compétition ! Du 8 au 11 mai, Bordeaux recevra 170 jeunes en provenance de 20 pays d’Europe.

Le club de 𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘅 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗱 est un complexe multi-raquettes de 2 000 mètres carrés, qui comporte 10 courts de squash. Il fait partie de l’enseigne SquashBad33, qui s’est développée à vitesse grand V depuis sa création par Michel Ludwig en 2010. Aujourd’hui, elle est composée de 4 structures (pour un total de 26 courts de squash) et une cinquième verra le jour en 2026.

Après 3 championnats de France Élite, 2 championnats de France jeunes, 5 championnats de France vétérans, sans oublier 2 phases finales des Interclubs avec des stars du squash comme Camille Serme et James Willstrop, le SquashBad33 va franchir un palier en recevant son premier championnat d’Europe.

Plus que deux semaines avant les championnats d’Europe -15/-17 ans par équipes mixtes ! Du 8 au 11 mai, 170 jeunes en provenance de 20 pays vont débarquer à Bordeaux. Après avoir reçu de nombreuses championnats nationaux ces dernières années, le Squashbad33 se met à l’heure européenne. C’est la première fois que la France organise cette compétition depuis l’édition 2008 à Lyon.

Dominatrice depuis la création de ces championnats en 1991, l’Angleterre 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 s’était imposée en -15 et en -17 l’année dernière au Portugal, et tentera de réaliser un nouveau doublé 🏆🏆. Qui pour l’en empêcher ? On pense évidemment aux équipes de France 🇫🇷, qui ont été ses principales challengers ces dernières années et seront soutenues par le public. En -17 ans, les Bleus seront emmenés par Amir Khaled-Jousselin, qui est devenu il y a quelques jours le plus jeune champion d’Europe -19 ans de l’histoire.

Only two weeks before the ESF European Mixed Team U15 & U17 Championships start! From the 8th to the 11th of May, 170 youngsters from 20 countries will be landing in Bordeaux. After hosting many domestic championships these last few years, the SquashBad33 is cranking up a notch. It’s the first time France will organize this event since 2008 in Lyon.

England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 have been dominant since the launch of these championships in 1991, and after winning in both U15 and U17 last year in Portugal they will try and clinch another double 🏆🏆. Who can stop them? The French teams 🇫🇷 have been their main challengers in recent years and the crowd will be cheering for them. In U17, les Bleus will be led by Amir Khaled-Jousselin, who became the youngest U19 European champion ever a few days ago.
